CROSS COUNTRY TEAM            There will be practice on Friday, Oct. 13 at 3:15 - 4:15pm if you are able to attend.  There will NOT be an activities bus available because we do not have school on Friday, must have own transportation home.   

Sat. Oct. 14th        Cross Country @ Rainier Invitational in Rainier 10am (bus departs AMS @ 7:30am)

Mon. Oct. 16th        Volleyball Home vs. Scappoose 4:00pm

 

Wed. Oct. 19th        Football @ Scappoose @ SHS 7th4pm/8th5:15pm (depart 12:50, return 8:45pm)

 

7th & 8th Boys Basketball Sign-ups       Sign-up now for Basketball and get your paperwork in early the office so you are ready to go when practice starts, end of October.

PBiS News             Costume Day is October 31st. We need to earn 1800 responsible, respectful, and safe Viking Awards to get this day. You have already turned in over 300! Keep up the good work. See the poster in the main hall to keep updated. You can pick up a coloring page in the rack across the hall from the office to color and turn in to help us track our progress. Way to go Vikings!

PBIS News             The term equity refers to the principle of fairness. Students are engaged in the process of equity every day at school. Students are engaged in the process of equity every day at school. This month we are focusing on ways that we can make our school more equitable. Students can do a lot to contribute to that. One thing that you can do is challenge your friends to work at their highest level. Some people judge others and expect low levels of achievement from them. Instead encourage each other to be the very best learner that you can.

Popcorn Sales                 There will be Popcorn Sales happening on Friday, Oct. 20th during lunch recess in the 8th grade hall. Cost is 50¢ a bag or 2 Viking Awards.

Dear Zoey                        Need advice? Contact "Dear Zoey" (The Viking News Advice Column) with a fake name and school appropriate questions. The box for your letters will be located right outside Ms. Rininger's classroom (room 119) in the diamond! 

Math Lab     Every Monday & Wednesday after school from 3:15 to 5:00pm in room 116. Students this is a great opportunity to get additional support with math homework or just guided practice to improve your math skills. Need transportation home make sure to sign up in for office for the after school activities bus.

Homework Club               Need help with your homework? Homework Club is every Tuesday in room 103 after school till 5:00pm. Make sure to sign up in the office for the after school activities bus if you need transportation home!

 

AHS Youth Girls Basketball Clinic        Interested in a Girls Basketball Clinic happening at AHS November 4th, 11th, & 18th.  Pick up the flyer in the office. Cost is $30 and includes a t-shirt, for grades 1st thru 8th. Registration is Nov. 4th.
